STUDIO NEWS!...

In the studio this week putting the finishing touches on a couple new songs.... "Kaboom, Kaboom!" and "Made up My Mind".  Hope to have these and more ready for your perusal/approval soon,..and will likely make everything available on CD along with the recently released (or perhaps we should say exposed) "Polka! Polka! Polka!" ...

Here it is!  The "extended" version of Poor Yorick's 2005 yodeling romp...complete with "implicit", though not exactly subtle, lyrical content and innuendo....how naughty!...and we don't want any notes home from school do we?..so mothers be warned!  But surely we merely wish to celebrate eastern European folk dancing tradition...right?

Anyone who has been to a PY show lately will note that the live performance of "Polka" has much more to it than the original recording ...Well, not anymore!  We may have mangled not one, but two music genres in the process.  So we'll offer a nod, a wink, and a preemptive apology to both Muddy Waters and Lawrence Welk with this version which features, of course, our own "Woody" Woodruff....scraped off the ceiling and presented to you here.  The hard copy release will also feature a few extras including a couple of 'B-sides' for those of us who remember such things.

Studio news!

Some light progress being made on some new material that could make it into our live playlist rotation very soon...as well as some  recording of the odd piece here and there.  

Speaking of odd...we've begun to tackle an update of an older PY favorite...extending/enhancing the original 2005 recording a bit into a full-fledged single.  Which favorite?..Not to give too much away, but we will say that this 're-boot' does feature our very own Robert "Woody" Woodruff in a reprised vocal role...all hopefully ready for you, the unsuspecting public, sometime in May.

Just another reminder that PY will NOT be appearing on the first Friday in May at Waterloo ...BUT we will be back at...

On this day in 1775....perhaps you've heard the story...Paul Revere, "one if by land", "the regulars are out!", scared civilians on a village green in the pre-dawn hours, someone says go home you "damn rebels", someone says "no", someone fires a musket,..the rest, as they say, is history,...and a bit of a mess to say the least...Lexington.
